We recently took a family hike up Logan Canyon. Here are some pics of the kids on that hike.

Kevin was scared of everything (I mean everything). He didn't want to walk too close to the plants because there might be bugs that jump out or snakes that sneak up. He didn't want to get close to the river because heaven forbid he fall in. However, he did find this walking stick to protect him. As scared as he gets you gotta love the kid!

This is his brave boy stance before the hike started. Hey, at least he tries!

Claire was the exact opposite. She wanted to wander off and explore. If there was a bug she wanted to touch it. If we were near the water she wanted to go in it. Her and Kevin kind of balance eachother out.

Here is Claire with her walking stick. She actually used this to walk with. She didn't play with it at all, she just used it to walk. She is serious about her hiking.
